Argentina Today: Presentation of the Collection 2/9/2020
On Wednesday, September 2 of 2020, the Art Collection entitled Argentina Hoy was launched. The edition was made by the Foro del Sur Foundation with the support of the Cultural Patronage of the City of Buenos Aires.
The activity consisted of a conversation with the collection's director, Diana Wechsler, as well as with the researchers-authors Benedetta Cassini, Florencia Qualina and Leandro Martínez.
“Argentina Today” is a collection of art books published in Spanish and English and based on the research program on political-cultural issues that the Foundation has been developing since its inception in 1995.
The first three books were drawn from a series of conceptual lines: micro-politics of space, micro-politics of the body, and racial exclusions in art. The collection is coordinated by Marlise Ilhesca Jozami and directed by the historian and curator Diana Wechsler. The authors responsible for each of the books in the first trilogy were the Argentines Leandro Martínez Depietri and Florencia Qualina and the Italian Benedetta Casini.
