"The Modern Subject: culture, politics and society" 1/4/2013 al 13/8/2013
Continuing with the workshops that began in 2012, the Fundación Foro del Sur resumed the cycle between April and August 2013, with the purpose of exhibiting the ways in which the subject is constituted: culture, ideals and beliefs, which shape the world external symbolic that determines individual and social identity. This perspective was taken into account taking into account that, in the modern world, subjectivity cuts through all socio-economic and political structures, being in turn divided by them. For this they relied on filmmakers and emblematic films.
LECTURERS
Luis Blaum has a degree in Economics (UBA) and a Master's degree in Epistemology, Methodology and History of Science (UNTREF). He is the Director of the Center for Research and Teaching in Development Economics (UNTREF) and a Postgraduate professor at the Faculty of Economic Sciences (UBA). In addition to the problems of development in our country, his research topics are on Philosophy of Economic Science and the theory of the State. Author of numerous publications and editor of two books, he participated as a speaker at various conferences and seminars. Since 2012, he organizes and leads audiovisual workshops that exhibit and debate contemporary socio-political issues at the Foro del Sur Foundation and at UNTREF.
Marcelo Muñiz is a political scientist (UBA) teaching at the National University of Moreno and the University of Salvador. He works on issues of modern and contemporary political theory, State theory and international relations. He has taught in courses on cinema and politics at the Foro del Sur Foundation, at UNTREF, and at the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the UBA.
Martín Novella is an economist (UBA), Master candidate at FLACSO, and researcher at UNTREF. He works on economics (industrial policy and defense of competition), as well as political philosophy. Since 2012, he has participated in the team that develops the audiovisual workshops that link cinema and political philosophy at the Foro del Sur Foundation and at UNTREF.
