ISABEL HILTON LECTURE ON CLIMATE CHANGE IN CHINA 31/10/2017
On October 31, 2017, the Foro del Sur Foundation invited Isabel Hilton for a conference entitled “China’s Green Society: is the space closing?” which was moderated by Lic. Rodrigo Rodriguez Tornquist and that addressed issues related to climate change in China.
Isabel Hilton OBE is the founding editor and CEO of chinadialogue.net, a bilingual site in English and Chinese that promotes open dialogue on the environment and climate change with China, and Dialogo Chino (www.dialogochino.net), which addresses the environmental impacts of the China-Latin America relationship. She is a visiting professor at the Lau Institute, King's College London. She has studied at Beijing University of Foreign Languages and Cultures University of Foreign Language and Culture and Shanghai Fudan University. She worked as a Latin American correspondent for The Sunday Time and The Independent. She writes for The Guardian, The New York Times, and The Financial Times.
