A Conversation on India and ASEAN Amid Global Competition: Perspectives for Argentina and Latin America
Fundación Foro del Sur hosted a lively discussion on how India and the ASEAN countries are managing their relations with the major powers amid growing global competition. The conversation also explored how Argentina and its Latin American neighbors feature in these countries’ foreign policy strategies.
The event reflected one of Fundación Foro del Sur’s central objectives: to foster critical thinking and pluralistic debate on shifts in global geopolitics and their implications for Argentina and Latin America, while creating spaces for dialogue among different perspectives and sectors of society.
The conversation was led by Patricio Mateo Carmody, an international relations expert with extensive executive experience in the United States, the Asia-Pacific region, Brazil, Europe, and Latin America. Academics, trade union representatives, and business leaders participated in the event.
