The Foro del Sur Foundation is a non-profit non-governmental organization whose actions seek to promote diversity and plurality of thought and the consolidation of democracy. To achieve these objectives, it carries out various research, training and consulting activities in the search of making significant contributions in the field of public policies that contribute to the international integration of our country, especially encouraging reflection among young leaders who are assuming main roles in the most diverse fields of politics, economy and culture.
For Foro del Sur, it is essential to deconstruct the hegemonic regard over what happens in the community, as represented by the corporate image, which makes the work of the Argentine artist Nicolas Garcia Uriburu its own, who thinks with the Compass rose about our "place in the world", taking up the gesture of the Uruguayan Joaquin Torres Garcia, who emphatically stated with his map inverted: "Our north is the south". Likewise, the Foro del Sur headquarters are installed in an emblematic neo-Gothic building in the city of Buenos Aires.
