Strengthening Partnerships for Sustainable Food Systems
As part of a partnership with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), Fundación Foro del Sur carried out a process of analysis, coordination, and management of strategic partnerships with international financial institutions, development cooperation agencies, the public sector, and the private sector. The initiative aimed to strengthen sustainable food systems in Colombia and contribute to the achievement of the 2030 Agenda.
Sustainable food systems encompass the set of processes, stakeholders, and institutions involved in the production, distribution, and consumption of food. Strengthening these systems seeks to ensure adequate food for the population while promoting economic development, social inclusion, and environmental sustainability.
The initiative made it possible to consolidate strategic cooperation mechanisms and create new financing and investment opportunities for sustainable development, contributing to the strengthening of more inclusive and resilient food systems capable of improving the quality of life of communities.
