The Breakfast Meetings use the so-called Chatham House Rule as their methodology, which states that people attending a meeting can discuss the results of the meeting in the outside world but cannot identify who attended or what a specific individual said. This rule was developed to facilitate frank and honest discussion of controversial or unpopular issues by speakers who may have no other way of accessing a suitable forum. It brings together political and business leaders, trade unionists, academics and third sector leaders to discuss and debate ideas with a small group of prominent young leaders, outside of the media circuit, which does not always stimulate critical and constructive reflection.
Likewise, the Foro del Sur Foundation offers cycles of talks and seminars with experts aimed at companies, consisting of exclusive meetings in which renowned specialists are invited to address and debate various topical issues.
