The foundation believes in the need to interconnect different perspectives so as to promote better conditions for social justice and equality—an agenda it considers essential and one that will be optimized as it is implemented through greater integration among countries.
Foro del Sur is at the forefront of issues such as management from a gender perspective, climate change, and sustainable development. It created the platform, Las Argentinas Trabajamos (Argentinian Women Work), which offers training courses for union leaders, women in the informal economy, and public sector workers. In addition, it creates visibility and places value on the work of Argentine women in various fields.
Also groundbreaking, was the creation of the Network of Rural Women, Indigenous Peoples, and Judicial Representatives for Climate Justice, aimed at promoting access to Provincial Courts to guarantee the exercise of rights. This initiative is financed by the Euroclima+ fund through the French Development Agency (AFD).
It also conducts activities and studies aimed at assessing the impact of global warming, the use of bio-inputs and other energy sources, the transformation of production methods, as well as the technological, scientific, and digital revolution. In addition, it carries out surveys and research related to electoral processes and public policies.
In the cultural sector, Foro del Sur creates and produces art exhibitions, organizes seminars and courses, and publishes catalogs and art books, such as the Argentina Hoy series, in which young curators share their research. Since 2017, it has also provided strategic support to the BIENALSUR, which in 2025, in its fifth edition, will be present in 70 cities across 34 countries on five continents, making it the most extensive cultural event in the world.
